McLendon Hardware In-Store No Hassle Return And Exchange Policy

No-Hassle Return & Exchange Policy - Your Receipt Guarantees It!

An original receipt is required for all returns and exchanges of products purchased at any McLendon Hardware, Inc. location. No copied or disfigured receipts will be accepted.

Returns and exchanges can be made for up to 1 (one) year after purchase.

Picture Identification is required for all refunds, exchanges and store credits and is documented by our cashiers.

Refunds will be given in:

  • Cash for cash purchases
  • Original check same-day or cash for check purchases (only after a 14 working day waiting period and there are no outstanding checks), Bankcard Credit on same account for bankcard charge account purchases, In-House Charge Credit on same account for in-house charge account purchases, Cash for debit card purchases or Store Credit for all other purchases.

Returns without an original receipt may receive a Store Credit only. The value of the merchandise will be calculated at the lowest selling price during the past year.

To receive a full refund or credit, merchandise must be complete with all parts, directions and packaging even if it is defective.

Special Orders are not eligible for return.

Custom-cut items are subject to a restocking fee of 25%.

We reserve the right to refuse the return or exchange of certain products including but not limited to those that have been installed incorrectly and/or used improperly, chemicals that have been partially used and are not in saleable condition, and used power equipment.

We reserve the right to refuse or limit the number of returns and exchanges if the validity of the transaction or the identification of the customer is in question.

Cash Sale Policy

  1. Our cashiers are instructed to use various means to determine if cash is valid and will refuse any bill that appears to be counterfeit.
  2. The appropriate authorities will be called if a counterfeit bill is discovered.
Check Sale Policy
  1. To protect our customers, all check purchases must be made in person by the bank account holder only.
  2. We take local personal and business checks for the amount of the purchase only. We do not cash checks.
  3. Picture Identification will be required.
  4. Checks must be properly imprinted with name, address, and the account number.
  5. We use various services to check the validity of checks written by our customers.
  6. We take only U.S. traveler's checks. All check rules apply.
  7. We do not take counterchecks or two-party checks.
  8. Refunds for check purchases are delayed due to bank processing of the checks. Cash refunds are not available for 14 working days after the sale.
  9. Customer must not have any outstanding checks to receive a refund.
Bankcard Sale Policy
  1. To protect our customers, all bankcard, debit and check card purchases must be made in person by the cardholder only. No phone orders will be taken.
  2. The back of the card must be signed by the cardholder and picture identification will be required. If there is no signature, identification will be recorded on the store receipt.
  3. Identification must match the imprint on the card.
  4. Cards that don't swipe will be manually imprinted and picture identification will be required.
  5. The bankcard receipt must be signed for our records.
In-House Charge Sale Policy
  1. To protect our customers, all in-house charge purchases must be made by authorized signers only.
  2. Picture Identification will be required when necessary.
